RIPON, WIS.—UniMac, a leading provider of on-premises laundry equipment, introduces new OPTispray Rinsing Technology and ECO Cycles to the UniLinc control system. These new features reduce water use and improve time and energy savings on the UW45 and UW65 machines while producing a superior rinsing result.

OPTispray is a state-of-the-art spray rinse technology that allows OPL operators to minimize water use with highly effective rinsing. The exclusive technology delivers optimized rinsing through unique bath and spray rinse intelligence, which can provide a 12 percent faster cycle rinse time and increased throughput. Superior to bath rinsing alone, OPTispray’s spray nozzle pulls wash chemicals and dirt through the load, effectively removing them. Alternatively, a bath rinse simply dilutes chemicals and dirt, leaving residue behind on the linens.

“The new OPTispray Rinsing Technology produces results with a shorter rinse time, faster cycle time and ultimately increased throughput,” said Bill Brooks, North American sales manager, UniMac. “At UniMac, we work to provide our customers with equipment that offers the lowest cost of ownership. This new technology reduces our machine’s water consumption, which delivers 15 percent more water savings compared to our already industry-leading UniLinc cycles.”

Significant Water Savings

When operators combine OPTispray with one of the nine new ECO Cycle wash programs, they consume as much as 39 percent less water than competitor brands, while still maintaining optimal wash and rinse quality. These green ECO Cycle options are part of the 41 total UniLinc cycles available.

UniLinc gives operators ultimate control, providing data pinpointing specific areas where operators can increase efficiency and reduce operating costs associated with labor, linen replacement, utilities and maintenance. The control system now provides even greater flexibility; cycles can be customized to fit any market need with optimized results for various loads and applications. Additionally, UniLinc’s nine ECO Cycles and 400 G-Force extraction combined with OPTispray Rinsing Technology and Over-Dry Prevention Technology assure the lowest utility costs for an operator’s OPL.

“We have found that customers can save $2,110 per year using OPTispray as compared to competitor brands,” Brooks said. “Even more astounding, when customers use OPTispray and ECO Cycles, they can save $1,793 per year over current UniLinc programming.”
