TRAVELERS REST, S.C.—T&S Brass and Bronze Works was named recipient of the 2016 Silver Crescent Award, the most prestigious award for manufacturers in South Carolina. The award is presented to select manufacturing companies that demonstrate superior performance in a number of areas.

Criteria for the Silver Crescent Award included citizenship, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, environmental stewardship, innovation, financial performance and longevity plan.
T&S Brass was recognized for exemplary performance in multiple areas, including its leading role in the creation of the George I. Theisen YMCA, named for the company’s founder and established through fundraising efforts and with a donation from T&S.
Annual Compliance Excellency Awards from wastewater management agency ReWa, employee-based Continuous Improvement Teams, and company support of local organizations such as Greenville Technical College and the Greenville County Disabilities and Special Needs Board were recognized as markers of T&S’ leading role in South Carolina manufacturing.
Applicants were judged by members of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME).
