WISCONSIN DELLS, WIS.—Venture Luxury Estates, a division of Uphoff Resorts, announced that the Treetop Villas at Mirror Lake in the Wisconsin Dells is now open. Dawn Manor Restaurant, located next door, will also open this month.
“We’re thrilled to open the doors of the Treetop Villas,” says Steve Uphoff, CEO of Uphoff Resorts. “The Wisconsin Dells is a one-of-a-kind destination, and we’re honored to be part of this community. Our luxurious tree houses offer guests a unique and tranquil retreat all year round.”
“The Treetop Villas are a one-of-a-kind luxury retreat that seamlessly blends contemporary architecture with the natural beauty and rich history of Mirror Lake,” says Steve Uphoff, CEO of Uphoff Resorts. “Every tree possible has been preserved, providing guests with an immersive stay in the treetops overlooking this stunning landscape. With the historic 1855 Dawn Manor transformed into a period-themed restaurant just steps away, guests can look forward to an unforgettable new getaway.”
Architectural design firm, ADCI, drew inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright for this project—a prominent guest of the original 1855 Dawn Manor home. ADCI set out to create an imaginative treehouse appeal. The best views were chosen for each villa while making sure to provide privacy for neighbors. The treehouses blend into their beautiful surrounding landscape due to the selection of natural materials, including real white pine tree trunks. Higher-end finishes were selected for a sense of luxury that guests desire.
As Many Trees Possible Preserved
“The Wisconsin Dells area is famous for having unique lodging options, so we strove to create a guest experience that truly stands out from the rest,” says Jason Ryan, senior architect and partner of ADCI. “Each treehouse was meticulously placed to utilize the natural cliffs and preserve as many trees as possible, giving the guest the best views into the natural surroundings.”
The Treetop Villas were constructed by Holtz Builders. Three of the villas feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with a sleeper sofa to accommodate up to six guests. The fourth unit can accommodate up to 10 guests with four bedrooms, king beds, a sleeper sofa, and four and a half bathrooms. Each bedroom is cantilevered over the sandstone cliffs and overlooks breathtaking views of the lake and ravine below. This larger villa also features a sauna for up to four guests.
All four treehouses boast luxury amenities including full kitchens, gas fireplaces, washer and dryers and wardrobes outfitted for skis and snowboard equipment. Outdoors, the Villas have elevated back decks with lounge seating, a fire pit, and an outdoor lake-facing balcony hot tub. One of the two-bedroom units is pet-friendly as well.
