Seminar Proposals Now Being Accepted for IHMRS 2012

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.—The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) is now accepting speaking proposals for the 97th annual International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show (IHMRS), taking place November 10 to 13, 2012, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Industry and trend experts are encouraged to submit seminar topics that address timely and relevant issues to meet the professional development needs of some 25,000 trade attendees. The deadline to submit proposals is February 29, 2012.

Proposals focused on trends, within the areas of lodging ownership and management, consumer travel trends, sustainability and related issues, are preferred. Additional topics can include hospitality design, technology, human resources, hotel operations, food and beverage and sales and marketing.

Proposals should be submitted through www.ihmrs.com by clicking the “2012 Speaker Proposal” link on the homepage. The process requires a presentation title, brief content description and proposed panelists. Seminars should be structured to fit within a 90-minute timeframe. The 97th annual International Hotel, Motel + Restaurant Show will run Saturday, November 10, through Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Following a full day of conference and networking activities on Saturday, November 10, the IHMRS will feature three full days of exhibits from Sunday, November 11, through Tuesday, November 13. The market presents some 700 hospitality industry suppliers and attracts 25,000 in total trade attendance. IHMRS is co-located with Boutique Design New York (BDNY), featuring more than 200 interior product manufacturers of high-end, unique and innovative design products for hospitality.
