CHEVY CHASE, MD.—PM Hotel Group, a hotel management company based in the Washington D.C. metro area, announces the release of its eighth annual sustainability report, outlining the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives and performance across its portfolio in 2025. Guided by its core values of respect, teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit, PM Hotel Group continues to integrate sustainability into every aspect of its operations, further enhancing guest experiences by supporting associates and delivering long-term value for owners.
“Sustainability is embedded in how we operate and how we grow,” said Joseph Bojanowski, President, PM Hotel Group. “As we mark our 30th anniversary this year, this report reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible hospitality, one that prioritizes our people, strengthens our communities and reduces our environmental impact.”
Throughout 2025, PM Hotel Group advanced a data-driven approach to sustainability, tracking performance across energy, water and waste while aligning its ESG strategy with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) frameworks. The company also completed its first formal materiality assessment, identifying key focus areas including energy management, diversity, equity and inclusion, ethical business practices, and waste reduction.
Environmental initiatives remained a central focus, with continued investment in energy efficiency, renewable energy exploration, and smart building technologies. In 2025, PM Hotel Group partnered with EV+ to install 18 Level 2 electric vehicle chargers across five properties, supporting the transition to more sustainable travel. The portfolio achieved a 5 percent year-over-year reduction in energy use intensity (EUI), driven in part by a partnership with Commercial Green Solutions that identified more than $300,000 in net-zero-cost energy projects funded through utility and state rebates, delivering an estimated 680,000 kWh in annual energy savings and reinforcing that operational efficiency and sustainability can directly align with bottom-line performance.
Commitment to High-Performance, Efficient Building Operations
Sustainability continues to be embedded at the property level, where hotel teams implement localized solutions like water conservation systems and green building certifications. In 2025, PM Hotel Group surpassed 1,300 LEED-certified keys under management and celebrated new certifications across the portfolio, reinforcing its commitment to high-performance, efficient building operations.
The company also made impactful progress in responsible sourcing and inclusive economic impact. Through its partnership with Procure Impact and AHLA’s Dignity of Work Pledge, PM Hotel Group generated more than 2,200 hours of employment for individuals facing barriers to work, representing over $140,000 in mission-driven spend.
“At PM Hotel Group, sustainability is a shared responsibility that comes to life through the actions of our teams and the strength of our partnerships,” said Ryan Butler, Corporate Director of Sustainability + Energy, PM Hotel Group. “We are proud of the progress made this year and remain focused on building a more resilient, efficient, and inclusive future across our portfolio.”
Community impact and associate wellbeing remain foundational to PM Hotel Group’s sustainability strategy. Across the portfolio, teams advanced initiatives focused on nutrition access, youth empowerment, health and wellbeing, and environmental stewardship. In 2025, associates supported more than 20 organizations during the company’s annual Day of Giving and assembled hundreds of meals for food-insecure communities through partnerships like Feed the Fridge. At the same time, 94.4 percent of associates participated in the company’s engagement survey, helping inform ongoing investments in benefits and workplace culture for future years. Properties also recognized Earth Week through sustainability-focused initiatives, including participation in Earth Hour to promote energy conservation and climate awareness.
