SECAUCUS, N.J.—The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized Panasonic Eco Solutions Division with a 2013 Energy Star Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award for their continued leadership in manufacturing innovative ventilation fans and protecting our environment through superior energy efficiency. Panasonic’s accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 26, 2013.

An Energy Star Partner of the Year in 2010 and 2011, and Sustained Excellence Award recipient in 2012, Panasonic Eco Solutions Division will be honored with the EPA’s most prestigious award for its long-term commitment to innovation and sustainability. With the highest efficacy (up to 23.3 CFM/Watt) of any Energy Star rated ventilation fan, Panasonic continues to exceed standards with its entire product line for residential and light commercial applications, where guidelines exist.

“Panasonic is proud to partner with Energy Star in developing innovative solutions and protecting our environment through energy efficiency,” said Patricia Monks, product manager, Panasonic Eco Solutions North America. “The Sustained Excellence Award not only acknowledges our continued leadership in providing innovative products but also recognizes our commitment to sustainability through our education initiatives and corporate outreach, and our long-standing tradition of working closely with Energy Star to help craft robust specifications for a variety of product categories.”

Across the United States, top companies and organizations are leading the way toward a more energy-efficient future through their participation in Energy Star.

The 2013 Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Awards are given to a select group of organizations that have exhibited outstanding leadership year after year. These winners lead the way in providing meaningful innovation and have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by setting and achieving aggressive goals, and employing innovative energy efficiency approaches. These awards recognize ongoing leadership across the Energy Star program, including energy-efficient products, services, new homes, and buildings in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors. Award winners are selected from the nearly 20,000 organizations that participate in the Energy Star program.
