OSCODA, MICH.—Oscoda Plastics, Inc., the manufacturer of PROTECT-ALL Commercial Flooring, has become a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Oscoda joins more than 15,000 member organizations working to provide a green future in building and design. “Our flooring products are manufactured from 100 percent post-industrial vinyl,” said John Rouse, national sales manager for Oscoda Plastics. “By joining the USGBC we are reinforcing our commitment to being an environmentally responsible company.”

The USGBC’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program promotes sustainable building management and construction practices and provides a rating system for evaluating a building’s environmentally-friendly features. An installation of Oscoda Plastics’ PROTECT-ALL flooring system can contribute between five and ten credits toward LEED certification.

Manufactured in Oscoda, Mich., by Oscoda Plastics, Inc., PROTECT-ALL Commercial Flooring derives its durability and slip-resistance from the specialized thermal fusion process that blends remnant industrial strength vinyl together into one monolithic piece. Oscoda Plastics, Inc. is a fast-growing manufacturer specializing in the production of environmentally-friendly building products that are used extensively in commercial kitchens and other flooring applications. As the leading recycled vinyl flooring manufacturer, Oscoda Plastics annually recycles more than six million pounds of vinyl waste into PROTECT-ALL, keeping it out of our nation’s landfills.
