The first property; domus@STELLA, will open in San Diego in early 2009. The Stella blueprint is stamped by Marchese + Partners International, a fresh class of designer born out of Australian lifestyle. Designed as a contemporary urban chic project, Stella consists of two low-rise linear buildings containing 84 modern and minimalistic one- and two-bedroom units.
The building facades are framed in clean lines and are regularly broken with warm timber screens and large expanses of glazing, creating an appeal of functionality and efficiency. Stella’s split buildings diverge to deliver a strong streetscape while having the added benefit of a large internal courtyard. “Green Design” is delivered via the incorporation of intelligent internal planning, sustainable products, landscape and structural design. Innovations such as “cross-flow” design within each unit create breezeways through living areas, reducing the reliance on air-conditioning. Additional features such as the extensive use of floor to ceiling windows at both ends of each residence ensures maximum natural light penetration, reducing the need for artificial lighting.

The plans deliver unique “townhome” like residences with an emphasis on style and comfort. Unit interiors are minimalistic yet warm and offer fully equipped kitchens including stainless steel appliances.
