SEATTLE—Mitsubishi Electric US announces the official release of the newest version of its Mitsubishi Electric Jet Towel hand dryer, the eighth generation of Jet Towel since Mitsubishi released its original invention in 1993. A recent recipient of Building Operating Management Magazine’s 2010 Top Product Award, the Mitsubishi Jet Towel received critical acclaim for its unique industrial design which makes it the only hand dryer in its class to keep water from spilling over the edge or pooling on the floor.

Features include the eight to 10 second drying time, a waste water collection system, new modern color (charcoal grey with metallic front panel), tamper-proof controls, best in class energy use, and the lowest operating decibel level of any competing hand dryer. The Jet Towel also holds a certificate of quality assurance from the Underwriters’ Laboratory (UL), the premiere electrical safety testing organization in North America, which makes the Jet Towel the only hand dryer of this type to receive the much sought after UL listing. Early adopters of the new model include Nintendo of America, Wrigley Gum, Morgan Stanley, and Nordstrom.

“The Mitsubishi Jet Towel has improved significantly with each new release,” says James Allard, president of Pacarc, LLC, the US distributor for the Jet Towel. “Mitsubishi’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement elevate the Jet Towel beyond any electric hand dryer or paper towel alternative. To choose the Jet Towel is a statement about a company’s commitment to sustainability, user comfort, and financial responsibility given the quick payback period and return on investment. Saving money while reducing your organization’s environmental impact has become a high priority among operators across the United States. These environmental factors along with the unique design have driven sales far beyond our expectations.”
