Besa Lighting Introduces Complete Low Voltage Monorail System

BLACKLICK, OHIO—Besa Lighting has introduced a low voltage monorail system with a broad range of pendant and spotlight options and accessories. The heart of the 12V monorail system is a new ultra-low profile rail that is hand bendable, but with enough “memory” to sustain its shape for a variety of configurations. Four- and eight-foot sections are available in either bronze or satin nickel finish, and are field-cuttable to meet exact specifications. Surface-mounted and remote electronic and magnetic transformer configurations are offered. The 300-watt ratings support up to six 50-watt or eight 35-watt low voltage lighting elements. The Besa monorail system...

Litetronics International Introduces Micro-Brite C11 Torpedo Lamps

ALSIP, ILL.—Litetronics International introduces Micro-Brite C11 torpedo lamps. They have a smaller size than bent tip C11s, allowing them to fit in smaller decorative fixtures. Their cold cathode technology dims down to 5 percent of its light output without flickering. Unlike incandescent C11 lamps that undergo color shift when dimmed, the Micro-Brite C11 dims with consistent 2850K color. Available in clear and white finishes with a candelabra base, Micro-Brite C11 torpedo lamps can be used both indoors and outdoors. The 5-watt Micro-Brite replaces a 30-watt incandescent lamp and yields up to 85 percent savings in energy costs. Its...

TCP Adds CFL/LED Hybrid to SpringLamp Product Line

AURORA, OHIO—TCP, Inc. has combined the benefits of its compact fluorescent lamps with new LED technology to create the SpringLamp three-way CFL/LED light bulb. The three-way CFL/LED hybrid switches between 19 watts, 30 watts and a 1-watt LED night light, comparable to a 50/100/150-watt incandescent bulb, for use in table lamps and floor lamps. Lasting an average of 10,000 hours (more than 10 times longer than an incandescent), the three-way CFL/LED is manufactured using lead-free glass. This gives the bulb better lumen maintenance over its life and a color temperature closest to incandescent light. A new amalgam technology provides cooler...
