NORTH WALPOLE, N.H.—Len-Tex Corp. announced that its entire line of contract wallcoverings has been certified to meet the indoor air quality (IAQ) standards of California’s Section 01350 for low VOC emissions. This specification developed by the state of California measures key environmental performance in building materials, primarily interior finish products. All Len-Tex wallcoverings meet the standards outlined in the section’s IAQ testing protocol, which stipulates that independent laboratories test materials for chemical emissions.

In addition, Len-Tex wallcoverings have also been certified to meet the stringent criteria of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS section 01350) in independent laboratory testing. CHPS is an initiative for California schools that is the nation’s first rating program to promote the design and construction of school buildings that excel in environmental efficiency and healthy building practices.

“We are pleased to have met both the rigorous indoor air quality standards of Section 01350 and the CHPS initiative,” said Don Lennon, president of Len-Tex. “These achievements underscore our commitment to provide stylish wallcoverings for the interior design market in an environmentally sensitive way that considers the health of building occupants.”
