LOS ANGELES—LATHER announces the launch of its Hand Sanitizer Gel. As a direct result of the COVID-19 outbreak and the recent scarcity of hand sanitizer in the United States, wellness brand LATHER has joined the cause, producing thousands of units of hand sanitizer starting this week. The formula is 65 percent to 70 percent ethyl alcohol based, higher than the 60 percent minimum the CDC recommends, and includes hydrating, restorative botanicals such as aloe vera to combat the drying effects of alcohol.

“LATHER has been in operation for over twenty years and is a family run company so we’ve always valued and supported local communities and businesses. We are pleased to create a product that will help people stay safe during this uncertain time,” says founder and CEO Emilie Hoyt.

LATHER will launch this week with a gallon size for hotels. In addition, a 10 oz size is available for purchase on LATHER.com, with a 1 oz and 2 oz version also available.

The brand has stated that they will continue to make hand sanitizer for as long as deemed necessary; and will remain focused on bringing consumers and businesses alike natural skincare and health-related products. Additionally, through LATHER Lends a Hand, some product kits will be donated to help combat the spread of the virus to those on the front lines.
