NEW YORK—Carnegie, a leader in sustainable textiles and acoustical management solutions for the commercial industry, announces the expansion of its Capsule Collection with five new patterns: Wren, Pemberley, Watercress, Duchess and Garnet. The new designs extend the brand’s curated upholstery offerings, bringing warmth, familiarity, and visual richness, and are built for durability, cleanability, and long-term use across a range of commercial interiors.
Drawing on the enduring beauty of English gardens and heritage textiles, the new designs reinterpret that inspiration through a contemporary lens. The patterns move from soft florals and expressive botanicals to richly textured velvet and structured motifs. Each pattern is offered in its own range of colorways, totaling 25 SKUs across the new patterns. Designed to be layered, the new patterns complement one another and the existing Capsule Collection designs; the five patterns create a balanced interior story with an elevated yet approachable look.
“With this expansion, we wanted to bring patterns and colors that feel sophisticated and timeless, without compromising on character or performance,” said Mary Holt, Chief Design Strategist at Carnegie. “The collection gives designers the freedom to play with pattern and layering to bring each space’s vision to life, with designs that stand the test of time.”
The new patterns include:
- Wren—a delicate all-over floral that captures the charm of scattered wildflowers and hand-drawn botanical studies. Its small scale reads as a subtle texture from a distance and reveals intricate floral detail up close, making it a versatile coordinate across furniture applications.
- Pemberley—a large-scale botanical statement inspired by flourishing garden landscapes. An elegant arrangement of leaves, stems, and blooms creates movement, offering residential warmth with the sophistication commercial interiors require.
- Watercress—a painterly velvet with watercolor movement, offering a counterpoint to the botanical patterns. Layered color and brush-like effects evoke watercolor washes and organic landscapes, and the velvet construction deepens the surface. It works as a grounding solid or a dramatic accent.
- Duchess—a dimensional woven geometric inspired by the artistry of embroidery, providing the look and character of embroidered upholstery fabric. Layered geometric forms and intricate woven details deliver the richness of handwork with the durability high-performance environments demand.
- Garnet—a contemporary circle-and-hex motif that brings repeating geometric forms to create movement and order. Its rhythmic, approachable small-scale complements both the florals and the textured solids, and suits broad application across seating and ancillary furniture.
Designs Contribute Towards LEED Credits
In line with Carnegie’s commitment to sustainability, the new designs contribute towards LEED credits and do not require a Proposition 65 warning. Wren, Pemberley, Watercress and Garnet are also RoHS & REACH compliant and meet OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, and Garnet additionally lists HHI and Kaiser Permanente.
Designed for spaces that see continuous use, the new patterns pair their aesthetic with practical performance. Wren, Duchess, and Garnet are bleach-cleanable (WS & BC), while Pemberley and Watercress are water/solvent-cleanable (WS). With a PFAS-free, stain-resistant finish on four of the five patterns, these options simplify upkeep in high-traffic commercial environments, helping textiles withstand everyday use without compromising appearance. Durability ranges from 50,000 to 100,000 double rubs: Pemberley and Garnet are rated at 100,000, Watercress at 80,000, Duchess at 60,000, and Wren at 50,000.
