KALAMAZOO, MICH.—Landscape Forms, North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, structure, LED lighting and accessories is pleased to announce that the company has acquired Summit Furniture, a leading brand of handcrafted, sustainable, outdoor teak furnishings for the residential, hospitality and marine markets.

“I have personally admired Summit Furniture for a long time and could see the tremendous synergies between our brands,” says Landscape Forms CEO Marjorie Simmons. “We’ve had the opportunity to build a relationship with them over the past several years. Welcoming them into the Landscape Forms family is a natural evolution and very exciting for all of us.”

Headquartered in Monterey, California with locations in Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Monaco and London, Summit Furniture has over forty years of industry leadership as the first choice in premium teak furniture for luxury hotels, elegant residential properties, premium cruise ships and yachts throughout the world. Building on the legacy, Summit will remain a standalone business, becoming part of Landscape Forms’ portfolio of brands which also includes Loll Designs and Kornegay Design.

“Working with Landscape Forms and getting to know one another, I’ve seen and enjoyed how our two companies have succeeded in building a strong partnership. I attribute that success to the mutual admiration and respect we have for each other, as well as the pride in the relationship we’ve developed,” says Summit Chairman, Jane Sieberts. “I believe Landscape Forms is exactly what Summit needs to grow in the next phase of its journey.”

Both Companies Will Benefit

Summit President Hilary Gustafsson concurs. “Joining the esteemed collection of brands under the Landscape Forms umbrella is a thrilling prospect,” she says. “Their commitment to excellence and their portfolio of remarkable companies align perfectly with our values at Summit. We eagerly anticipate the exchange of ideas and inspiration that will enrich both our offerings and our customers’ experiences.”

Working closely with the Summit team will be Kirt Martin, who will serve as Managing Director of the company in addition to his current role as Chief Innovation Officer at Landscape Forms. “It’s an honor to have Summit join the Landscape Forms family of companies. I very much look forward to working closely with its President, Hilary Gustafsson, to take it to the next level,” says Martin. “I’m confident we have the experience, resources, and commitment to help Summit achieve even greater success in the years ahead.”

CEO Simmons concludes, “Summit will take Landscape Forms to new and exciting places with geographic expansion, a showroom business model, new customers, and design partners, as well as new markets.”
