SAN DIEGO—Kirei, part of Carnegie Acoustic Solutions and a provider of innovative, sustainable acoustic design materials for commercial interiors, announces two additions to the Lit Collection: HyperFly Clouds and HyperFly Baffles. Expanding the collection’s integrated approach to acoustics and lighting, developed in partnership with Seattle-based RESOLUTE Lighting, both designs translate organic, wing-inspired geometry into high-performance ceiling solutions that bring visual warmth, improved acoustics, and moments of illumination to active environments.
Defined by sculptural fins and softly curved forms, HyperFly product designs increase the acoustic surface area while maintaining an open, airy presence overhead. Acoustic wings provide space for airflow and ceiling elements, while creating additional surface area for sound absorption, resulting in systems that support both performance and design intent without adding visual weight to a space.
The HyperFly Cloud introduces gentle geometry to open ceilings through a circular cloud form with radiating fins. With the option of being suspended individually, arranged in clusters, or hung at varying heights, the Clouds create layered ceiling compositions that bring visual warmth and controlled illumination to the space. Available in two sizes, the HyperFly Clouds can be specified with lighting by RESOLUTE for direct illumination, without lighting, or a mix of both to balance illumination and acoustics across a space. The press-fit assembly and refined cable suspension hardware keep installation straightforward and the ceiling composition clean.
Visual Rhythm Across the Ceiling Plane
The HyperFly Baffle brings linear texture and acoustic performance to open ceilings through a finned baffle form that creates repeating lines overhead. Arranged in long runs, alternating layouts, or varied heights, HyperFly Baffles introduce visual rhythm across the ceiling plane, all while absorbing excess noise. Available in three standard lengths, 48″, 73.6″, and 96″, the Baffles can be specified with HyperBEAM lighting by RESOLUTE in direct, indirect, or direct and indirect configurations, offering designers the flexibility to integrate light where it’s needed most.
Both HyperFly products are available in over 40 through-panel colors and are compatible with Kirei Ink, an in-house printing technology that expands creative possibilities through vivid botanical imagery, natural textures, or fully custom graphics. With a library of more than 50 signature prints, along with the option to develop custom colors, patterns, or material expressions, the system supports designs ranging from understated accents to striking, immersive ceiling statements.
As part of the Lit Collection, HyperFly Cloud Lit and HyperFly Baffle Lit reflect a broader shift toward integrated ceiling systems that bring together acoustics and lighting in a unified approach to support designers in creating spaces that perform as well as they look.
