SAN ANTONIO—The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is filled with hidden gems including the elevated artwork that fills this luxurious resort. Hallways and common spaces feature unique, sophisticated work by locally, nationally, and internationally acclaimed artists, giving guests the opportunity to roam the resort to tour and discover the magnificent art pieces curated for guests to enjoy as a new indoor activity. The “Art Walk” takes resort guests throughout the upper and lower-level lobbies where they can view and read about 13 different pieces of art on a self-guided tour.

Guides can be picked up at the registration desk in the upper-level lobby near the front entrance and are also available online. This Guide features information about the various pieces of art and their locations for guests to follow at their leisure to experience a scenic tour around the resort.

Nestled amid 600 acres of oak-covered hills in the Texas Hill Country, JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa overlooks a stunning landscape. The artwork featured within the resort represents its surrounding scenery, unique culture and supports the comfortable yet elegant atmosphere.

With an onsite 9-acre water park, two 18-hole PGA TOUR golf courses, daily scheduled indoor and outdoor activities for guests of all ages, sports courts and more, there are an abundance of outdoor activities available at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. While there is plenty to do outdoors, there is also so much to see inside the luxury resort, whose architecture truly incorporates elements of the local landscape. Guests can take a self-guided art walk through the resort to admire the artwork and partake in an interactive and intriguing activity to enjoy at any time during their stay. Throughout the resort, guests will find tranquil places such as the Hillside Haven, a new JW Serene Space; Texas Library; picturesque hiking and biking trails; the JW Garden; and spots along the Art Walk, which are all available to inspire focus and revitalize the spirit of the resort guests.

Highlights of the Art Walk include Blown Glass by Gini Garcia, a San Antonio-based artist; many pieces by Texan artists; a portrait of Mr. J. Willard Marriott; and more spectacular pieces.
