RIPON, WIS.—Huebsch, a provider of commercial laundry equipment, announced that its on-premises tumble dryers have received upgrades that improve the equipment’s efficiency. Enhanced features on the 25- and 55-pound tumblers include reversing technology, while Over-dry Prevention Technology (OPT) has been added to the 30- and 45-pound stack tumblers. OPT is now available on all Huebsch tumblers.

These features will help laundry managers increase throughput and reduce energy costs without compromising premium linens.

“Huebsch is committed to the continual improvement of our products,” said Gary Dixon, North American sales manager, Huebsch. “These tumbler technologies are the most recent way we have responded to our customers’ demand for the most reliable, durable and energy-efficient machines on the market.”

Reversing technology allows the cylinder to change direction while drying, which reduces the balling or roping of large articles, such as sheets, comforters and tablecloths. This provides an even and consistent dry.

OPT precisely monitors and controls the level of dryness throughout the load and shuts the tumbler off automatically when it has reached its pre-set level of dryness. Eliminating over drying reduces linen fiber loss by as much as 31 percent while decreasing energy and labor costs.

Both technologies are available through the Galaxy 600 control.
