PULASKI, N.Y.—Amsterdam’s De L’Europe recently opened 10 allergy-friendly PURE Room guestrooms and suites in partnership with PURE Global. PURE Room uses a patented seven-step process specially treating all surfaces, and purifying the indoor air to greatly reduce allergy and asthma symptoms.

The seven purification steps include:

1. Air sanitization via units that heat and cool air entering the room.
2. Maintain sanitized air with tea tree oil, an organic disinfectant.
3. Clean all soft surfaces with PURE Clean to remove dirt, bacteria, mold and other allergy triggers.
4. Perform a one-time ozone shock treatment to remove any lingering odors, leaving air crisp and fresh to the senses.
5. Apply unique spray-on barrier to the room to prevent bacteria growth.
6. Place a HealthWay (Class II Medical/FDA registered device) air purifier in each room to maintain purified air; this removes up to 98 to 100 percent of viruses and bacteria.
7. Install waterproof mattress protectors and pillow encasements, providing a barrier against dust mites and allergens.

PURE Global’s chief operating officer, Antony Papageorgiou personally oversaw each room’s transformation into a PURE Room noting, “PURE Room has found in De L’Europe the finest partner for showcasing our program in Northern Europe. We are very honored to provide De L’Europe with PURE Rooms offering the ultimate in guest comfort and indoor experience to the hotel’s discerning guests.”

The new PURE rooms and suites are just part of De L’Europe’s extensive €61 million renovation and June 2011 grand reopening which features new state-of-the-art technological amenities including in-room iPads, heated bathroom floors and sensory lighting. Tom J. Krooswijk, De L’Europe’s managing director stated, “We are pleased to be both Holland’s and Leading Hotels of the World’s first property to introduce PURE Room to our guests, mostly sophisticated world travelers always looking for what’s next and best.”
