ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA.—Premier hotel development and management company, Hollander Hospitality, has completed an $18 million renovation of the former Holiday Inn Downtown Everett and announced the official grand opening of the 232-room Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett, in Everett, Wash. The former Holiday Inn was the most recent acquisition for Bellingham, Washington-based Hollander Hospitality, a local, privately-owned Northwest company, committed to investing in the region.

This is Delta’s first branded hotel in the Pacific Northwest and signals the continued global expansion of the brand since its endorsement into the Marriott signature portfolio. This latest project by Hollander Hospitality is another example of their commitment to implementing sustainable technologies that conserve energy, reduce the carbon footprint and offer the best possible guest experience.

As part of Hollander Hospitality’s green initiatives, they have once again invested in NuTek International’s Ozone Laundry Support Systems (OLSS) for their Delta Hotel’s on-premises Laundry.

‘Significant Energy Savings’

Loren Terpstra, Hollander’s Director of Operations stated, “NuTek has provided us with their cutting-edge Ozone Laundry Support Systems and we have seen amazing results in both the cleanliness of our linen/terry and significant energy savings. Currently we have their OLSS installed in all of our laundry operations.”

NuTek’s UL Recognized ozone technology saves on water, sewer, gas, electric and laundry chemicals for each load of light to medium soiled linens processed. It has been specifically tested and proven to extend linen life by 23 percent. It has also been specifically tested and proven to kill 99.99 percent of all bacteria and viruses. Rinsing all linens in ozonated cold water assures superior sanitation, from guestroom sheets and towels to housekeeping rags and mops.

Jay Montanus, CEO of Sustainable Solutions, LLC, dba NuTek International, stated, “We’ve enjoyed supporting Hollander’s commitment to sustainability and improving their laundry operations since 2013. They identified immediate evidence of energy savings and improved laundry results and since then NuTek has been invited to provide our OLSS in every renovation or new development Hollander has brought to the market.”
