SAN FRANCISCO—Global Hyatt and Tesla Motors are partnering to demonstrate the Tesla Roadster, an electric sports car. The Global Hyatt/Tesla Motors Drive Event will take place on August 29 and 30. The Tesla Roadster will travel from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe in the span of one day.
With stops at Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, Hyatt Regency Sacramento, and Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino in Incline Village, NV, each stage of the event will include a celebration of the car’s arrival and a preview of the forthcoming 2008 Tesla Roadster. Tesla Motors and Hyatt Hotels are exploring the installation of permanent charging stations in participating Hyatt Hotels.
Kicking off with a breakfast reception at Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf on August 29, the event will include a demonstration of the Roadster’s curb appeal and performance. With a certified Tesla driver at the wheel, the Roadster will continue its journey with a stop at Hyatt Regency Sacramento; a welcome reception will include lunch and comments from various senior legislative officers. Following a recharging demonstration, the car will take its initial drive over the mountain pass towards Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino, arriving at its final destination for the night. The closing activity will be on August 30 with a breakfast reception at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.
