LOS ANGELES—Bentley Prince Street announced that it is collaborating with designer Clodagh on a new floor covering collection—the Tuscon Collection. Together, this world-renowned designer and carpet manufacturer have teamed up to offer the design community three new coordinated solution dyed patterns.

Consistent with Clodagh’s signature environments that celebrate the “experience of living,” the Tucson Collection is inspired by the colorful topography and living elements of Arizona. From red skies to abundant cacti and vast wildlife, the intricate designs evoke the essence of the quintessential desert land and all the varied elements of nature. All three styles—Canyon Rapids, Saguaro Shade and Summer Shadow—are offered in 15 coordinating colorways and available in broadloom as well as 18in X 18in carpet tile. These patterns also coordinate with Complex Plains, another fashion-inspired small-scale texture designed by Clodagh for Bentley Prince Street.

“Bentley Prince Street has long believed in design collaborations, and the invaluable excitement and originality they bring to the creative process,” said Anthony Minite, president of Bentley Prince Street, Inc. “Partnering with Clodagh, one of the world’s leading design visionaries, was an extraordinary experience that has resulted in a remarkable new collection. Our shared commitment to sustainability and responsibility to protect our natural resources made this collaboration a true partnership from every perspective.”

“It is a joy to align ourselves with a company that is driving in the same sustainably minded lane I have been driving in for the past 25 years,” Clodagh said. “We have melded our values and created a product that is not only useful and practical, but manufactured in a way in which we can truly be proud. The Tucson Collection is a sophisticated way to bring the beautiful patterns and shadows cast naturally on the desert sands into an indoor space. I love to mimic natural patterns and colors in both my residential and commercial projects to bring them alive. The patterns and colors stir nostalgia that connects people back to their original roots.”

“Clodagh’s adventuresome spirit, global perspective and sensitivity to the planet have been truly inspiring to our design studio, and we are delighted to collaborate with her,” said Valerie Ottaviano, Bentley Prince Street’s vice president of design. “Her experience in fashion couture and well-being interiors brings a sense of sophistication to this collection, which is a perfect complement to our product portfolio, adding even more solution dyed broadloom and carpet tile solutions.”

All three patterns in the Tucson Collection are manufactured with recycled content nylon, with up to 18 percent recycled content in the face fiber. Also, High PerformancePC is the standard backing system on all Bentley Prince Street broadloom products. This unique latex formulation recovers mineral residual from the paper recycling industry in an environmentally friendly fashion, resulting in a minimum average 10 percent post-consumer recycled content by total product weight.
