SAN FRANCISCO—BuildingIQ, a leading energy management software company, has relocated its global headquarters to the United States. With new offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northeastern United States, BuildingIQ expands its global presence and continues to redefine the way energy is managed in commercial buildings.

BuildingIQ’s expansion to the United States comes at a time when power grids struggle to cope with increasing energy demand. BuildingIQ’s unique software solutions lower energy consumption and connect commercial buildings to the Smart Grid, reducing peak power loads in commercial buildings without costly upgrades or capital expenditures. In a variety of installations worldwide, BuildingIQ’s software has achieved up to 30 percent peak load reductions and 40 percent HVAC savings.

“Commercial real estate is prime for embracing solutions that deliver energy savings without capex,” said Mike Zimmerman, CEO of BuildingIQ. “BuildingIQ is at the forefront of providing solutions to enable this next generation of energy management. Our expansion will enable BuildingIQ to continue to extend our global presence, expand our market leadership and drive change in the way commercial buildings manage energy.”

BuildingIQ is currently working with top REITs, corporations and utilities in the United States and Australia.
