LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA.—Certified B Corporation andCo Hospitality announced its official launch, marking a transformative evolution for the storied sustainable hospitality brand. Originally operating as a singular flag under the Legacy Vacation Resorts name, andCo will now become the leading entity for a collection of three dynamic accommodations brands, each with its own personality and guest promise. This new multi-level brand structure including newly created “The Fold Hotels,” a revamp of the “Legacy Vacation Resorts” brand, and the recently acquired “The Local,” will provide many opportunities for responsible vacations in destinations across the U.S. for all travelers, making sustainable tourism options more accessible than ever.
andCo’s launch comes on the heels of several years of exponential growth in the sustainable tourism sector. This surge in demand for eco-friendly travel options has been a driving force behind andCo Hospitality’s evolution, fueled by changing consumer preferences and the growing awareness of sustainable and regenerative travel. However, the brand recognized the barrier of pricing for some travelers hoping to enjoy more sustainable accommodation options, as highlighted in the recently released Spring 2025 MMGY Portrait of the American Traveler. The report shared that “environmental consciousness continues to shape travel decisions, with travelers showing a strong preference for eco-friendly options that do not come at an added cost.” andCo’s mission simultaneously addresses this concern and provides a solution with their accessibly priced options across each brand, all of which share the same deep commitment to sustainability and the opportunity to enjoy cultural, authentic and meaningful experiences.
“In analyzing our recent business performance and increased revenue year-over-year, we reached a point where we needed a framework we could grow into—one that allowed for different types of hospitality experiences, but all rooted in the same values,” said Jared Meyers, Chairman and Co-Founder of andCo Hospitality. “That’s what led to the creation of andCo Hospitality and this multi-brand structure. It gives us the flexibility to offer distinct products while staying aligned in purpose, and it sets us up to grow in a way that’s both intentional and scalable.”
Brands Grounded in Shared Values
andCo Hospitality President Alex Smith continued, “I’m most excited about the clarity and momentum this evolution brings. With andCo Hospitality now leading The Fold Hotels, The Local, and Legacy Vacation Resorts, we can tell our story with more intention. Each brand offers a distinct experience, but they’re all grounded in our shared values—community, purpose and thoughtful hospitality. It’s a launch that reflects who we are and where we’re headed.”
The diverse range of accommodation options and attainable price points will allow andCo Hospitality to meet the varied needs of today’s conscious travelers. The flagship for the portfolio is the newly created “The Fold Hotels,” a refreshing, trendy and locally infused brand. The Fold will now boast the resort locations in Steamboat Springs (Suites), Colo., Indian Shores, Fla., and Lake Buena Vista, Fla. and feature innovative and intentional touches such as furniture crafted from repurposed vintage items like bowling alley lanes and 1920s era print type cabinets, energy efficient appliances, smart thermostats and renewable energy power sources. The guest experience will feel more like a hub for community culture than a hotel, a spot where travelers can immerse themselves in the authentic flavors of the neighborhood and truly experience a sense of place.
“With this new brand concept, we wanted to revamp guest perception of what eco-friendly and sustainable accommodations can be, proving to our visitors that you can have an upscale, yet still affordable stay in a very responsible way,” Smith shared. “We feel The Fold checks all the boxes for the new generation of travelers; spacious, comfortable, effortlessly cool and a genuine reflection of the community in which it is found.”
Legacy Vacation Resorts in Five Locations
The Legacy Vacation Resorts flag will now carry resort locations in Palm Coast, Fla., Kissimmee, Fla., Steamboat Springs (Hilltop), Colo., Reno, Nev. and Brigantine Beach, N.J. Catering to families and multi-generational travelers, these sustainable accommodations provide plenty of fun with exciting amenities like full kitchens, sparkling pools, mini golf courses, splash pads, playgrounds and more. Nearby each property are enriching excursions for guests to enjoy including world class attractions, wide open beaches, state parks, hiking trails and skiing—all encouraging visitors to get outside and explore.
As the final member of the new portfolio, The Local in St. Augustine was acquired by the brand late last year and is reimagining the retro motel experience with a digital-first approach. Here, guests can vacation their own way with contactless check-in and out and remote service requests. With just 20 rooms, onsite amenities and nearby historic attractions in America’s oldest city, The Local delivers just that—a vacation experience a local would approve of. andCo is actively seeking to grow this brand and infuse even more sustainable elements, with plans to announce new coastal locations later this year.
With new acquisitions on the horizon and ambitious expansion strategies, andCo Hospitality is poised for continued growth across the United States. The company views this launch as the ideal moment to redefine how hospitality can be innovative, inclusive and sustainable. The move also reinforces the commitment to their B Corp Certification. For leadership, becoming certified wasn’t a finish line, but a promise to keep evolving. Now six years into the B Corp journey, this shift strengthens that commitment by creating a structure where purpose and impact are built into every decision. Whether it’s how the team is cared for, how local communities are supported or the ongoing efforts to reduce the company’s environmental footprint, this new framework allows the scalability of brand values in step with overall growth.
Meyers emphasized the company’s dedication to enhancing the reach of responsible travel. “We believe that great hospitality and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. Our goal is to prove that memorable, meaningful experiences can coexist with a deep commitment to sustainability. Every stay with an andCo brand is a step towards a more resilient future for the travel industry.”
