3 Pillar Solutions Launches Sustainable Hospitality & Tourism Course

WEST PALM BEACH, FLA.—3 Pillar Solutions has announced its launch of their new online course “Introduction to Sustainable Hospitality & Tourism”, which offers a comprehensive and affordable avenue for those in hospitality to incorporate sustainability fully into their operations and sales strategies.

The course is designed to provide knowledge in sustainable operations, which include: sales and marketing opportunities, food and beverage, housekeeping, purchasing, creating policies, monitoring and measuring data, building operations, health and wellness, stakeholder engagement strategies, benefit of purpose-driven companies, sustainable destinations, environmental and social governance, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and eco-certification opportunities.

No technical or previous knowledge is required. The course is for anyone who wishes to enhance their knowledge and skill set, add value to their current or future employer, those who are suppliers to the industry, and for hoteliers and destination management organizations of any size.

Author and presenter of the course, Kathy Sue McGuire, said, “Knowledge of sustainable hospitality and tourism is a 21st century business imperative. We wanted to accomplish two things with this course; provide a DIY, comprehensive training program, and price it at just $250, which we hope will advance sustainability in this industry, particularly in the United States.”

Total of 28 Lessons

This course is being hosted by the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). There are 28 lessons and 11 interviews with leaders in their field, and how they are successfully applying and benefiting from sustainable hospitality and tourism operations. Each lesson is between 5 to 15 minutes in length for a total of 5 hours of content. The quiz is optional, but a Certificate will be provided by ISSP for those who pass the quiz.
