ELKHART, IND.—Dometic, with 40 years of experience and more than 5 million minibars installed worldwide, announced that it showcased three of its best Drawer Minibars at The Hotel Experience expo (HX) in New York City, November 13 to 15. Attendees saw both the thermoelectric and compressor models of the DM50 as well as the DM20 compact model.
Dometic’s Drawer-style minibars are commonly used by hotels around the world because of their unique design, cooling performance, accessibility to guests, hushed sound, and benefit to the hotel by being energy efficient.
With 45 liters of storage space, the DM50 minibar has a large drawer for standard-size bottles and cans along with a smaller upper drawer for miniatures and snacks. It is specially designed to allow guests to see refreshment offerings quickly and easily. The unit comes equipped with a self-closing door, LED interior lights and automatic defrost. It’s available in either thermoelectric or compressor models, both of which are highly energy efficient.
Differences Between Models
The difference between the thermoelectric and compressor models is quite simple: preference. The DM50 thermoelectric is efficient both in cooling performance and energy consumption, creating a luxurious ambiance, especially in smaller spaces. The DM50 compressor meets all minibar needs and has an excellent reputation in handling higher ambient temperatures.
In both thermoelectric and compressor models, the minibar is fully equipped with an anthracite decorative panel and handle or prepared for furniture integration with a matching décor panel.
The compact DM20 is totally silent with its new thermoelectric technology. A versatile drawer minibar that allows for non-traditional installation in locations such as bedside tables, it still has a capacity of 20 liters. It is specially designed for ease of access, with a unique patented configuration that ensures a complete view of drinks and snacks at a glance. The DM20 features automatic defrost and a self-closing door, increasing cooling performance over the entire life cycle of the unit while further reducing energy consumption.
