FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.—This past May, Valley Forge Fabrics, the largest supplier of decorative performance fabrics for hospitality, participated in the largest hospitality trade show event of the year, HD Expo. Each year Valley Forge selects a nonprofit organization to support during this event as a part of their yearly Giveback Initiative. Valley Forge strongly believes in nurturing the creative spirit, so for 2018 Art Feeds was selected to be the recipient of donations that were collected through an interactive experience within the Valley Forge booth on the trade show floor.

Art Feeds believes all children are artists. They use tools like specialized curriculums, therapeutic art, and creative education within existing community programs and schools to fuel children’s creative development and emotional expression. The outcomes of these programs result in better self-reflection, expression, and creative problem solving in the children who participate.

Inside their 30’ square foot trade show booth Valley Forge constructed a special photo booth for participants to interact with. Guests could choose from several custom printed photo booth backdrops created from motorized roller shades, a specialty of Valley Forge’s. Each time a guest entered the booth and posted a photo to social media along with the hashtag #vfcares, a donation was made to the Art Feeds fund on their behalf.

At the end of the three-day event, enough hashtagged photos were counted to be able to donate a total of $500 to Art Feeds. This sum will contribute to their many programs and curriculums that reach over 38,000 children in the United States.
