FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.—Valley Forge Fabrics Inc. welcomes 200 new fabrics spanning two fashion-driven collections to its FRESH line. FRESH launched earlier this year to rave reviews and is an acronym for Fabrics Redefining Environmental Standards (for) Hospitality. FRESH represents the first environmentally friendly comprehensive fabric program designed specifically for the hospitality industry.

Prominent New York designer Celerie Kemble has created the Celerie Collection for FRESH. World renowned Palm Beach designers Mimi McMakin and Brooke Hutting developed The Palm Beach Collection for FRESH. The Celerie Collection was designed by Celerie Kemble from her New York studio and reflects Celerie’s urban sense of sophistication and glamour.

“I am so thrilled to be presenting vibrant and dynamic new designs manufactured in good conscience,” Celerie says. “FRESH fabrics are made with synthetic yarns derived from post-consumer and post-industrial recycled products which are made at a low impact manufacturing platform and are engineered to be recycled.”

The Palm Beach Collection by Mimi and Brooke was designed from South Florida and reflects a style of casual sophistication enamored with whimsical haute couture sensibilities.

“Our FRESH collection is renewable and sustainable,” Mimi and Brooke says. “You can’t beat that.”

Fabric Passes Standards Tests

As with all Valley Forge Fabrics, each new FRESH fabric in these collections has been designed to exceed ACT Standards, and hospitality and contract industry standards including the appropriate specifications for durability, flame retardancy, colorfastness, strength and serviceability. Although FRESH fabrics require no finishes to meet stringent hospitality durability requirements, those customers still requiring additional “earth friendly” finishes can now acquire FRESH finishes. FRESH finishes are completely recyclable and provide additional stability and durability when needed.

As part of their commitment to pioneering environmentally friendly fabrics in the hospitality industry, Valley Forge offers customers a pickup and delivery reclamation service that will deliver FRESH fabrics to a recycling facility at the end of their life cycle. This radical departure from traditional disposal is aimed at further protecting the environment by alleviating mounting pressure on landfill capacity.

The Celerie Collection for FRESH and The Palm Beach collection for FRESH by Mimi and Brooke will be released at the Hospitality Design Boutique Exposition & Conference in Miami on September 18.
