I attended The Hospitality Show in Denver this past week. The event is a production of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and Questex, the publisher of Hotel Management. It was a great chance to touch base with suppliers I have gotten to know in past years and to make many new contacts. It would be impossible for me to highlight all the companies I interacted with in this column but here is a list that caught my attention:

Two companies—CMP Water and AquaFlow Technologies Inc.—both featured valves that compress the air before it reaches the meter, so you only pay for water use. (See my News Blog from this past week.)

Everged. The company develops smart, eco-friendly EV charging systems that integrate renewable energy and grid technology to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable transportation.

Innova Nanojet Technologies demonstrated its AirSancta air purifier that not only purifies but also humidifies, cools, and prolongedly protects indoor air with no filter or chemicals.

In search of geodesic domes, tiny houses, or Nordic houses to attract today’s traveler in search of comfortable lodging and getting away from it all? Be sure to check out Harmony Domes. Delivery in as little as 200 days.

CityScapes Inc. featured its plant trellis systems, commercial planters, and customized enclosure systems for areas including dumpsters.

Modular Hospitality Construction

Guerdon, LLC, a leading manufacturer of modular hospitality construction projects in the Western U.S., was at the show to explain its technology that combines on-site construction with precise off-site assembly production.

CleanRest offered its new PRESTO! Zip-Off Top Mattress Encasement. The top zips off for cleaning, and a replacement re-secures in 90 seconds by one person—no lifting required.

Interested in upgrading older toilets in guest rooms to efficient dual-flush performance while permanently eliminating leaky flappers and tangled chains? SMARTER FLUSH’s Dual Flush Conversion Kit delivers the same water savings as a dual-flush toilet without the high costs. It is installed easily and pays for itself in just months, not years.

Axiom Energy Group displayed some of its EcoPrime microchip systems. As the EcoPrime is reducing heat, the system is also producing electricity. This electricity will be used on-site, reducing the overall kilowatts consumed from the grid. If there is excess produced, it can be net metered.

GCSTIMES featured its eco-friendly products made from sustainable materials. Product examples include carbon-neutral key cards, cultural and tourism souvenirs, and amenities such as bamboo combs and toothbrushes.

URT was at the show to explain its IT asset disposition and electronics recycling solutions. URT reduces risk with a single, secure chain-of-custody from collection through final processing.

UV Light to Eliminate Odors

Airbotx demonstrated its new generation of advanced UV-C disinfection and odor removal technology. Airbotx uses UV-C ultraviolet (UV) light to eliminate odors caused by fire and smoke, cigarette smoke, marijuana, pets, cooking, and other chemicals or volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Airbotx inactivates airborne pathogens like SARS-CoV-2, E. coli, and MRSA and HEPA filtration captures dust, pollen, mold, fumes, and other harmful particulates.

Metafoodx’s Mobile AI Scanner tracks every ounce of food—from production to plate—down to every single menu item. Optimize your inventory based on actual demand. Forecast reliably with your real consumption trends. Maximize your profits and cut waste with less effort and ensure safety and freshness in every dish you serve. Customers have cut overproduction by 50 percent in weeks.

TOSSWEAR featured its drinkware made from a crystal-clear blend of recycled polymer that’s BPA-free and shatterproof. All products are made by repurposing recycled water bottles into new products.

Wexford Labs introduced its disinfectant made from products including citric acid. Other products have been shown to speed up the wear and tear process on FF&E.

Helping to stop the flow of single-use plastic bottles, Open Water provided samples of its still and sparking water in aluminum cans.

Energy-Saving Hair Dryers

GAMMA+ displayed its hair dryers that use Evolution Turbo Compressor Technology for hyper drying, up to 70 percent faster than traditional dryers, reducing energy consumption. The dryers are hand-crafted in a solar powered facility in Italy.

ADA Cosmetics, a finalist for the German Sustainability Award, featured many of its sustainable amenity products, including its Refillution innovation.

Consultants F&D Partners was at the show explaining the many ways it helps commercial accounts such as hotels save up to 40 percent on their energy supply costs. F&D Partners helps its clients identify and apply for utility incentives.

Among its various operations-related apps, Quore featured its engineering solutions that make it easy for quick fix or regularly scheduled guestroom maintenance, and to track, manage, and report on all engineering tasks in real-time, on-the-go, and all in one place.

For over 20 years Ecoglo, also at The Hospitality Show, has been providing the United States with industry leading, cost-effective and always code compliant luminous egress path marking solutions. The expertly engineered products have the potential to save lives and will enhance egress speeds in all lighting conditions.

Combined Heat & Power

Enginuity Power Systems showcased its combined heat and power systems that allow users to reduce their electric bill by 60 percent or more; provide unlimited heat available for use; unlimited hot water; and store excess electricity for future use or sell back to the grid.

The Seating Shoppe featured its high-quality seating solutions for the hospitality and food service industry.

Actuate showed its energy management software that’s a complete package, empowering teams with data that simplifies facility management, and analytics that optimize equipment operations across buildings.

Your Green 2 Go was at the show with its complete line of sustainable food packaging solutions—including biodegradable Grab ‘N Go containers.

Evolution Sustainability Group, which develops practical, innovative, and cost-effective energy solutions to empower its clients’ sustainability goals, offered its comprehensive suite of energy and sustainability solutions.

AI & Water Conservation

Symmons, at The Hospitality Show with its Evolution’s deeply integrated AI and ML models, has captured millions of water-related data points from hundreds of flow, temperature, and leak sensors to build a growing intelligence engine. These technologies enable Evolution to not only detect current issues but also predict potential problems—like leaks, inefficiencies, or abnormal usage—before they happen. It’s proactive water management that helps prevent downtime, lower insurance premiums, reduce costs, and protect commercial properties.

LumiTerra Inc. introduced its recyclable LumiCup beverage cups made from aluminum. The cups keep drinks colder for 70 percent longer.

HubOS provides an easy tool to know your hotel’s energy and water consumption. Get instant alerts for unusual energy use to act fast and prevent waste. Maintain a complete record of interventions like lighting upgrades or insulation improvements to see which measures have the greatest impact on energy performance. Monitor and compare electricity and water usage across rooms, floors, or buildings over time to identify trends and optimize efficiency.

GFL USA Inc. presented its wide array of eco-friendly amenities available in pump dispensers.

Among numerous other products, Melink featured its Intelli-Hood patented HVAC kitchen hood controls that use optic and smart temperature sensors to monitor the level of cooking activity and automatically adjust fans to operate at full speed only when the kitchen does.

Islandaire featured samples of its wide selection of thru-the-wall packaged terminal air conditioners and heat pumps (PTAC & PTHP).

Pineapple Hospitality displayed samples from its vast collection of amenity products and dispensing systems. The company also distributes products ranging from towels and bedding to dental kits and toothbrushes.

LATHER offered its wide selection of bathroom amenity products, including its new Landscapes Collection.

Energized Hydrogen Peroxide

Unlike traditional air purifiers that wait for contaminants to pass through a filter, Healtheair’s technology proactively reduces pollutants by emitting Energized Hydrogen Peroxide (E-H2O2) into the room. Healtheair is a division of Extreme Microbial Technologies (EMT). Click here for more information.

From Unilever Partnerships, Dove, the world’s #1 bath and shower brand, now offers an eco-friendly amenity program designed specifically for hotels. The refillable dispenser system uses up to 60 percent less plastic than traditional mini bottles and comes in a recyclable bottle, helping hotels reduce waste and meet sustainability goals without sacrificing guest experience.
