CLIFTON PARK, N.Y.—Realm Artesian Water announced that it has officially received its New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) certification, marking the final regulatory milestone required to begin full-scale production. With certification secured, the company is now preparing to commence bottling operations and has opened pre-orders at www.drinkrealm.com, with shipping scheduled to begin March 1, 2026.

“This certificate is truly the last piece of the puzzle,” said Todd Kletter, CEO of Realm Artesian Water. “It’s been a nine-year journey to get here, and receiving approval from the Department of Health finally allows us to do what we’ve always known we could—share one of the finest waters in North America with the world.”

The vision for Realm Artesian Water began nearly a decade ago, when the founders set out to build a water company rooted in quality, integrity, and long-term sustainability. The business was formally incorporated in late 2023, and in January 2024, Kletter was brought on to lead branding, strategy, and the company’s market launch. At the recommendation of Cory Martin of The SHG Group, a trusted advisor to the founders, Kletter was selected to guide the development and launch of what would become Realm Artesian Water. With extensive experience in consumer-packaged goods—particularly in food and beverage—Kletter brought the operational, branding, and go-to-market expertise needed to bring the company’s long-held vision to life.

From inception, Realm was designed as a fully closed-loop, vertically integrated water company—an increasingly rare model in the modern beverage industry. Realm owns and controls its artesian source, operates its own bottling facility, and manages its distribution network end-to-end. This structure eliminates third-party handling, minimizes risk of contamination, and ensures complete traceability from source to bottle.

A Closed-Loop Approach

Realm’s water is transported directly from the source to its state-of-the-art bottling facility, where it is bottled on site using stainless steel piping, advanced filtration, and rigorous quality control systems. Even the facility’s cleaning and sanitation processes use Realm’s own artesian water, further reducing exposure to outside contaminants. While more expensive to operate, this closed-loop approach allows Realm to maintain absolute control over quality, consistency, and purity—ensuring that what reaches consumers is exactly as nature intended.

“This level of integration is uncommon, particularly in the premium water category,” Kletter added. “But it’s essential if you want to deliver a product with true integrity. The only thing inside our bottle is genuine Realm Artesian Water—nothing added, nothing compromised.”

Achieving New York State Department of Health certification represents the culmination of months of rigorous testing, inspections, and regulatory review—a demanding but ultimately rewarding process for the entire team.

“This is the moment we’ve all been working toward,” Kletter said. “We’ve passed every test, cleared every hurdle, and now we finally have the opportunity to do something truly special in the food and beverage space. The water category has long underserved a meaningful segment of premium consumers who value quality, provenance, and integrity. That gap in the market presents a compelling opportunity, and Realm was built specifically to serve that audience.”

With production now underway, Realm is preparing the release of what it believes to be the first domestically produced, ultra-premium artesian water launched with this level of vertical integration and transparency. The initial offering will feature a 475 mL (16 oz) still water, followed by a 750 mL hospitality format designed for fine dining and luxury service environments. A sparkling water line is scheduled to launch in Q2 2026.

An extensive sampling and placement program will begin in late February, with early distribution focused on high-end and boutique hotels, fashion houses, professional offices, wellness destinations, and premium hospitality venues.

Bottled Exclusively in Glass

Realm bottles exclusively in glass to preserve flavor, mineral balance, and overall quality, while reinforcing its sustainability commitments. Though more costly to manufacture and transport, glass was selected to align with the brand’s premium positioning and environmental priorities.

As consumer awareness continues to grow around PFAS, microplastics, and chemical contaminants found in municipal and bottled water, Realm’s transparent sourcing and closed-loop production model stand apart.

“We often ask a simple question—do you know where your water comes from?” Kletter said. “We can answer that with absolute certainty.”

With production underway, pre-orders now open, and shipments beginning March 1, Realm Artesian Water enters the market positioned to establish a new benchmark for ultra-premium domestic water.
