IRVINE, CALIF.—Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering introduces Yinka Ilori x Momentum—a landmark collaboration between Momentum and British-Nigerian multi-disciplinary artist and designer Yinka Ilori.
The collection combines Ilori’s signature visual language, inspired by his dual heritage, love of color, and passion for joyous design, with Momentum’s expertise in commercial textile and wallcovering design.
Known as the “Architect of Joy,” Ilori’s design journey spans from repurposing vintage chairs to collaborating with global giants like Adidas, Bombay Sapphire, Pepsi, Pinterest, and Universal Music. Partnering with Momentum, the leading industry’s leading textiles and wallcoverings supplier, Ilori infuses his forward-thinking ethos into commercial design.
The Yinka Ilori Collection introduces playful yet captivating patterns such as the textile Shower Me With Flowers and wallcovering Moving Mountains, each telling a unique story and inspiring a sense of community. Whether adorning high-concept offices, upscale restaurants, or healthcare facilities, the collection elevates any space into an inspiring, invigorating experience through its colors, patterns, and stories.
Keynote Address on June 11
Ilori will publicly unveil Yinka Ilori x Momentum in Momentum’s showroom in The Mart during NeoCon 2024, where he will also deliver a keynote address on Tuesday, June 11. Concurrently, the artist and designer will present a new immersive commission—the largest of his career to date—exploring memories and mindfulness for Chicago’s ART on THE MART program.
This makes Ilori the first artist and designer to launch a collection at NeoCon, deliver a NeoCon keynote, and present a commission for ART on the MART all in the same season.
