IRVINE, CALIF.—Momentum, the leading innovator of commercial textiles and wall solutions, has established an exclusive strategically aligned partnership with New Zealand-based acoustic solutions company Autex Acoustics. With more than 58 years of textile manufacturing experience, Autex is a market-leading producer of modern acoustic panels with a global footprint. The strategic alliance between the two solution-driven companies will allow Momentum to expand their existing portfolio of acoustic offerings and extend them to the ceiling.

Driven by a commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, Autex delivers carbon neutral acoustic solutions that balance performance, aesthetics, and human well-being. Crafted from 100 percent PET, incorporating recycled fiber, its acoustic solutions reflect a deep respect for circular systems. This includes hyper-realistic stone and wood finishes and biophilic artist collaborations with textile designer Emma Hayes, embracing walls and ceilings as immersive design elements. Furthering its sustainability vision beyond the product, Autex recently launched the Autex Future Lab (AFL), a pioneering R&D center dedicated to investigating and developing healthy new materials, processes, and systems to redefine/reshape the built environment.

Momentum shares Autex’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and continuous advancement, making the alliance a natural extension of Momentum’s evolving portfolio across North America. Driven to expand and diversify its portfolio to meet evolving client demand, Momentum’s dynamic portfolio includes the fractal research-backed Renaturation wallcovering collection and the natural, renewable cork Muratto collection acoustic solution. To expand their product capabilities, Momentum also recently acquired B+N Industries, an award-winning provider of innovative architectural panels, modular systems, and custom shelving and cladding.

Autex Product Library Made Available

Momentum will offer specifiers the comprehensive Autex product library across North America, through the Momentum website and sales representatives, including brand best-sellers such as the newly expanded duo-tone Groove Duet, Frontier Acoustic Fins and Raft ceiling solutions, and proprietary adhesive-free mounting systems such as SpinFix.

“Quality acoustic design is now a must-have in well-designed spaces. This partnership allows us to streamline the specification process for our clients with an expanded portfolio of comprehensive design solutions that support their holistic project needs,” said Momentum CEO Paul Cleary. “Autex has consistently delivered remarkable work with their ceiling, wall, and screen solutions. This expansion will inevitably support designers in the way they create and think about incorporating acoustic design moving forward.”

“Momentum is an ideal partner to cement Autex’s position as an acoustic leader in North America. We are deeply aligned in the belief that performance and design should go hand in hand. Momentum’s reach and relationships with the design community will enable our products to be integrated more intentionally into projects, ensuring our work remains true to our brand and what we stand for,” added Phil Goodin, Autex’s Managing Director of North America.

Autex’s portfolio of completed projects includes installations in the offices of Google, Apple, Adobe and Microsoft. They have also outfitted buildings at Harvard, Princeton, and UCLA as well as the interiors at Bowie State University’s new Martin Luther King Jr. Center. These successful projects serve as a testament to how Momentum and Autex can synergize to further amplify both brands’ portfolios.
