BALTIMORE, MD.—MD Energy Advisors, a Baltimore-based commercial, utility, and financing energy solutions company and recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing firms, has added John Hehir to the team as Director of C-PACE Origination. C-PACE, or Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy, is a public private financing mechanism through which private lenders provide low-cost, long-term funding for ground up construction, gut rehabs, and renewable and water conservation projects in commercial properties.
Hehir, most recently a Senior Vice President with PNC Bank, brings nearly 35 years in commercial and corporate banking to the team of MD Energy Advisors with eight years focusing on integrated energy and oil and gas infrastructure projects. Prior to his tenure with PNC Bank, Hehir held roles of increasing responsibility with Sun Trust Bank, Taylor-DeJohng, Inc., and ABN AMRO Bank NV.
In his role as Director of C-PACE origination, Hehir will be responsible for originating and overseeing the underwriting and closing of complex, multi-million-dollar C-PACE loans with traditional commercial real estate debt for multifamily, hotel, office, retail, and industrial properties. He will manage existing relationships and form new relationships with borrowers, brokers, banks, and industry partners throughout the U.S.
