ORLANDO, FLA.—LG Electronics USA, believed to be the fastest-growing appliance player in the U.S. commercial laundry market, has unveiled a new series of top-load washers built on the direct-drive motor technology pioneered by the company. Shown for the first time last week at North America’s largest commercial laundry trade show, The Clean Show, the 27-inch high-efficiency top-load models build on LG’s position as America’s most reliable and #1 appliance brand.
These new models expand LG’s popular commercial laundry lineup based on AI-driven precision washing technologies designed to deliver powerful performance, excellent energy efficiency, significant operational savings and unparalleled reliability. The new coin- and card-operated top-load washers incorporate LG’s advanced Inverter Direct Drive motor, delivering premium performance, durability and efficiency. Perfected by LG over two decades, the direct-drive system is covered by a 5-year limited warranty.
Superior durability and reliability are top considerations for businesses, landlords and schools deploying commercial washers and dryers, according to Sam Kim, President of Appliance Solutions, LG Electronics USA. “With LG’s reputation for quality, these new top-load washers, as well as their popular front-load cousins and their companion gas and electric dryers, are well positioned to serve the dynamic U.S. vended market,” he said.
Available Through U.S. Commercial Laundry Service Providers
LG’s broad 2025 U.S. commercial laundry lineup—all-new top-load washers, as well as front-load washers, dryers and combo units—is designed for use in multi-family housing, student dormitories, laundromats and more. They are available now through leading U.S. commercial laundry service providers, including CSC ServiceWorks, WASH and EVI.
Key features of LG commercial washers include the innovative Gyro Balancing System with 3D Sensor that precisely monitors drum movement to reduce motion, vibration and noise—extending component lifespan and ensuring smooth, stable operation. Ideal for high-usage environments, LG units offer fast cycle times, rapid spin initiation and a front-access design that simplifies maintenance by allowing most servicing to be done without disassembly, minimizing downtime and improving technician efficiency.
As a smart life solutions company, LG emphasizes services and platforms complementing its hardware innovations. The company is leveraging its expertise in connected smart appliances for the consumer market with the launch of “Laundry Crew 3.0,” a connectivity solution that provides an integrated interface that connects store managers and end users, enabling real-time product monitoring and coordinated support.
Another example is Rinse, an LG business partner and a leading provider of laundry and dry-cleaning delivery service throughout North America.
Looking ahead to 2026, LG is previewing the “LG Professional Laundry” line for the U.S. market. This new series of larger units will support demanding high-volume workloads of busy commercial laundry environments, such as hotels and hospitals. New balancing technology coming in the future LG Professional Laundry products will enable the laundry drum to spin stably at speeds of up to 1,100 RPM while reducing vibrations, enhancing water extraction and shortening cycle times.
“LG is demonstrating how advanced engineering and smart connectivity can solve the toughest challenges in commercial laundry—from cutting cycle times to driving down operating costs—so our B2B partners can operate more efficiently and deliver greater value to their customers,” said Kim.
