SAN DIEGO—Kirei, part of Carnegie Acoustic Solutions and a provider of innovative, sustainable acoustic design materials for commercial interiors, announces the launch of the Lit Collection, integrated acoustic lighting that combines sound absorption and illumination within a single ceiling solution.

Building on the proven performance of its acoustic forms, the collection pairs expressive geometry with embedded lighting to support how spaces look, sound, and function.

Developed in partnership with Seattle-based RESOLUTE Lighting, the Lit Collection integrates lighting directly into acoustic elements, reducing the need for additional ceiling fixtures. The system streamlines specification and installation while minimizing material layering, offering a more efficient approach to ceiling design where fewer components do more.

“Our approach with the Lit Collection was to rethink how acoustics and lighting come together as a single, integrated design system, giving designers greater freedom to shape spaces with intention,” said Michael DiTullo, Head of Product Innovation for Carnegie Acoustic Solutions. “We see acoustics as part of the architectural language of a space, and this collection expands that language by bringing light into the form to enhance materiality and open new creative possibilities.”

A Cohesive Visual Language Across the Space

The collection builds on the iconic forms that define Kirei’s acoustic portfolio, now extended to include lighting with the same consistency in color, material, and performance. Designers can specify lit and unlit elements within a single system, maintaining a cohesive visual language across the space.

From the soft, radial forms of HyperFly to the faceted structure of Tessellate and the rhythmic precision of Kirei baffles, each design brings together light and acoustics as a harmonized solution. Installation remains consistent whether elements are illuminated or not, reducing coordination between trades and simplifying on-site execution. The result is a more thoughtful approach to acoustic lighting, where performance, design, and usability align, and light reads as a natural extension of the system rather than an added layer.

The Lit Collection empowers designers to tailor each element to their project’s unique aesthetic and acoustic needs. Available in over 40 through-panel colors, Kirei’s lit acoustics are also compatible with Kirei Ink, an in-house printing technology that expands creative possibilities through vivid botanical imagery, natural textures, or fully custom graphics. With a library of more than 50 signature prints, along with the option to develop custom colors, patterns, or material expressions, the system supports designs ranging from understated accents to striking, immersive ceiling statements.

By integrating lighting and acoustics into a single system, the Lit Collection reduces material use and ceiling complexity. Products are made from recycled PET, supporting material selection through published Health Product Declarations (HPDs) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and contributing to LEED and WELL building standards. Low-emitting materials and durable construction support long-term performance and healthier indoor environments.
