WISCONSIN DELLS, WIS.—In celebration of World Water Day on March 22, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is celebrating the entire month of March with a landmark achievement and the continued impact of its long-standing partnership with charity: water, a global nonprofit dedicated to ending the water crisis.
Since the partnership began in September of 2023, Kalahari Resorts and its guests have helped raise $12,289,883 to support sustainable clean water solutions across Africa. As of Q4 2025, those contributions have funded 1,476 water projects including 79 school water projects, three health clinic water projects, and three piped water systems.
Together, these efforts have helped bring clean, safe drinking water to an estimated 295,351 people.
Access to clean water is foundational to health, education, and economic opportunity. In many communities around the world, the lack of safe drinking water contributes to preventable disease, limits school attendance and disproportionately impacts women and children. Sustainable water projects, from drilled wells to piped systems, create long-term change by supporting healthier families and stronger communities.
“Water should never be a privilege,” said Todd Nelson, CEO and Founder of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. “But in many communities across Africa, water is still a daily challenge. When we committed to helping one million people gain access to clean water, it wasn’t just a goal; it was a promise rooted in compassion and responsibility. We are deeply grateful to our guests and supporters who continue to make this life-changing work possible.”
Every Project Tracked
charity: water funds locally led, community-owned water solutions designed for sustainability and transparency. Every project is tracked to ensure long-term functionality and measurable results.
“When clean water arrives in a community, everything changes,” said Scott Harrison, Founder and CEO of charity: water. “Families are healthier. Children spend more time learning. Communities gain the stability needed to grow and thrive. Kalahari’s continued leadership and commitment to transforming one million lives through access to clean, safe drinking water is creating a generational impact across Africa.”
Kalahari’s observance of World Water Day all of March reflects the company’s broader commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and purpose-driven impact. By supporting charity: water’s mission, Kalahari and its guests are helping deliver lasting change—one water project, one community, and one life at a time.
