MIAMI—J&J Green Paper, an innovative paper products technology firm based out of Miami, is tackling a well-known environmental hazard: single-use plastics. To raise awareness about the critical issue that is plastic use, production and disposal around the world, the company released ‘The War on Plastics’ report.

In the midst of mass regulatory changes worldwide addressing the modern consumption level of plastics and other disposables, J&J Green Paper seeks to encourage players in the plastics and disposable container industries to consider adoption of the groundbreaking alternative materials that are coming to fruition.

According to the report, if the production and use of plastics continue to increase as projected, the plastic industry will account for 20 percent of global oil use by 2050. With plastic becoming more and more expensive to recycle, the company sees now as an imperative time to urge industry leaders to make a change before plastics do further harm to both the environment and human health.

The company, which has invested eight years developing a cutting-edge solution to the critical issue of paper waste, more than half of which is produced for packaging, has devoted considerable time and resources into developing products that will meet the consumer needs of the future.

The innovative alternative packaging company has developed alternatives that are both green and easy to use, including sustainable k-cups, paper and aseptic packaging, food prep paper, wine and soda bottles and milk and ice cream cartons.
