SAN FRANCISCO—The InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco, in collaboration with Porsche, announces a new extravagant amenity for their guests—Porsche electric vehicle charging stations. Located in the valet area of the hotel’s parking deck, the AC chargers are meant to top off the batteries of electric vehicles while their drivers enjoy a cocktail at Top of the Mark, the hotel’s iconic penthouse level lounge; take in a meal at farm-to-table restaurant Nob Hill Club; or settle in for an overnight stay in one of the hotel’s luxurious suites.

“Like the Porsche brand, The InterContinental Mark Hopkins delivers a luxury experience at the highest level,” states Michael Pace, the hotel’s General Manager. “We are very pleased to expand our legacy of support for EVs through our partnership with Porsche, while offering yet another unique and indulgent amenity to visitors and guests of the hotel.”

The two Porsche wall chargers are free for all EV drivers with a J1772 compatible plug. To learn more about Porsche’s chargers at the Mark Hopkins, see this video.

InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco has offered EV chargers for their guests over two decades.

The Energy-star rated hotel is particularly renowned for their eco-initiatives. From recycling 80 percent of their waste, to the fact that their lighting is 95 percent energy-efficient, to the buzzing bee habitat in their garden that supplies their restaurants with fresh honey, the hotel has been at the forefront of environmentally sustainable hospitality for years.
