ALPHARETTA, GA.—Hansgrohe announced that all relevant products under the Axor and Hansgrohe brands are now compliant with California’s and Vermont’s low-lead legislation, which limits the lead content of pipes, pipe fittings or plumbing fittings, and fixtures intended to convey or dispense water for human consumption through drinking or cooking. The checkmark on each packaging is the confirmation that the product is 100 percent compliant with the California and Vermont legislation.

Since the enactment of this legislation in 2007, Hansgrohe has been preparing for the anticipated change through product development and availability. Nicolas Grohe, director of marketing and product development for North America, explains, “Our launch schedule was designed to give plumbing professionals adequate time to adjust their inventories before the law’s effective date of January 1, 2010. As a 108-year-old company specializing in plumbing products with manufacturing facilities in the U.S.A., Europe and Asia, we are dedicated to providing compliant plumbing solutions.”

“Anticipating that most other states will adopt this new legislation, Hansgrohe is proud to have decided to switch all relevant products to be compliant with the California and Vermont acts,” says Russ Wheeler, general manager of Hansgrohe North America. “This sets the foundation for our company to continue its growth and further proves just how committed Hansgrohe is to expand in North America with cutting edge designs, innovative technologies and best-in-class quality products.”
