VANCOUVER, B.C.—Natural Products for Living, Inc., a distributor of organic Canadian-made personal care products, announced that The Green Beaver Company, whom they represent for U.S. distribution, was awarded a license to manufacture certified organic personal body care products by ECOCERT. The Green Beaver Company becomes one of 11 Canadian companies to achieve this coveted designation in the growing organic marketplace.
ECOCERT, a leader in organic and ecological product certifications, requires that ingredients be subjected to vigorous product formulation and on-site plant audits. Manufacturing facilities and product packaging are subject to stringent ECOCERT requirements to complete organic status. Based in France since 1991, ECOCERT carries out inspections in more than 80 countries outside of the EU.
Green Beaver products include hair care, facial care, bath and body washes and lotions, deodorant, toothpaste, nursing balms, and extra dry skin creams. New to the market are the Gardener’s Hand & Heel Balm and Lotion, which contain natural insect repellents.
Green Beaver products are:
• 100 percent natural, biodegradable, vegan and gluten-free.
• Free of any parabens or hydantoin preservatives, sulfate detergents, artificial aromas, fragrances or dyes, phthalates, quaternium, EDTA, propylene glycol, petrolatum, fluoride, sodium laurel sulfate (SLS), or chemical whiteners.
• Not tested on animals.
• Packaged ecologically with recyclable materials. Labels are printed on 100 percent post-consumer recycled paper with vegetable ink.
