LAS VEGAS—GoSpace recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of its latest electric vehicle (EV) charger installation, a DC Fast Charger for the Tahiti Village Resort on Las Vegas’ Strip. A Fast Charger can charge an EV in less than a 1/2 hour. In this case, the charger and installation costs were donated by a major automotive manufacturer. The Tahiti Village project is a part of a global effort to build out EV charging infrastructure.

GoSpace is assisting by locating qualified candidates for this program and performing the installations for the donated fast EV chargers the program provides. Tahiti Village was chosen as a participant in this program based on their willingness to agree to the terms of the program and their stellar location in sunny Las Vegas. David Sharp, Director of Business Development, GoSpace said, “The EV industry is growing exponentially and more guests will be arriving at your door driving an EV. They will seek out lodging that supports their decision to drive an emission-free vehicle. Having EV chargers at hospitality facilities promotes eco-tourism. A guest arriving in town can rent an EV at the airport and use the lodging’s facilities to power their vehicle during their stay.”

Tahiti Village is now one of many resorts in Las Vegas that offer EV charging to their guests. The May 12 ceremony launching the stations was just the beginning for the management company that also owns two other hotels and timeshares near the Strip. Lynn Mitchell, Vice President, Soleil Management, operators of Tahiti Village said, “The charging stations signal a new chapter of customer service and strategic guidance from management. The new charging stations demonstrate that Tahiti Village, our staff, and management are committed to being responsive to our owners and our guest suggestions to pursue sustainable practices. It just makes good business sense.”

With the addition of EV Charging on-site, every operation has the ability to convert its fleets of company cars, and shuttle-transports from fossil fuel to electric power. Per the Edison Electric Institute, driving an EV can be compared to paying for gas at $0.60 a gallon while having a motor that requires almost zero in maintenance costs—ever. The City of Houston, Texas saves an estimated $110,000 a year by putting 27 Nissan Leafs in its municipal fleet.

GoSpace is currently seeking additional qualified candidates for its Fast EV Charger Program in Las Vegas, New York, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Miami, Orlando, Salt Lake City, and many other locations throughout the United States. This is a limited time offer. For additional information e-mail dsharp@gospacego.com.
