Four GreenVoice Conversations on Agenda at HD Expo

LAS VEGAS—The NEWH Sustainable Hospitality Committee has organized four GreenVoice Conversations Sustainability Seminars for HD Expo. HD Expo will take place May 4 to 6 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The seminars will take place in the lobby entrance of the show in NEWH Booth L5, and are free to attend.

The first session, May 4 from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., is “The Evolution of Sustainability and the Built Environment.” The moderator will be Mary Ann Thornam, Program Coordinator of Interior Design, Art Institute of Colorado. The speaker will be Josh Radoff, Co-Founder & Principal at YR&G.

The second session, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., is “Cart Vs. Horse: Which Comes First, Transportation Infrastructure or Hospitality Development. The moderator will be Andy Schaidler, National Hospitality Sales Manager, Marble Systems. Speakers will include: John F. Hogan, V.P. Design & Project Management, Ritz-Carlton Worldwide; C. “Chuck” Charles Pineda, PE, Project Manager, Railworks; and Jude Elledge, Consulting Architect & Urban Planner, Callison RTKL.

The third session, May 5 from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., is “Transparency: A Way to Inform Healthier Material Choices. The moderator will be Becca Dobosh, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C, Project Interior Designer, SERA. The speaker will be Alison Bane, IIDA, LEED AP, Director Interior Design, SERA.

The fourth session, May 5 from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., is “Wellness & Technology in the Hospitality Market.” The moderator will be Stacey A. Olson, Design Performance Leader, C.I.D., LEED AP + ID&C/BD&C, Gensler. The speaker will be Deborah Bey, Director of Research and Innovation, Delos.
