Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite Expansion Earns Double Silver LEED Certification

FISH CAMP, CALIF.—Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts has earned double Silver LEED certification at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, an all-season resort located just outside of Yosemite National Park in Fish Camp, Calif. EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio—GE Lighting has introduced a light-emitting diode replacement for the 100-watt incandescent light bulb—developed in its East Cleveland, Ohio, LED lab—that packages 27 watts of input power in a standard “A-19” bulb shape. SPI Solar to Build 6.4 Megawatts of Solar Developments

ROSEVILLE, CALIF.—SPI Solar, a vertically integrated photovoltaic (“PV”) solar developer, announced that it has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction agreement with a subsidiary of KDC Solar to design and build multiple solar energy facilities (“SEF”) for KDC Solar at the Mountain Creek Resort and Grand Cascades Golf Resort in Vernon, N.J. Brighter Planet Takes Look at Entire U.S. Lodging Industry’s Energy, Carbon Efficiency

SHELBURNE, VERMONT—Using data on 46,000 U.S. hotels provided by Northstar Travel Media, and building energy data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, sustainability technology company Brighter Planet has applied its own lodging model to determine the best and worst performing hotel chains when it comes to energy efficiency and carbon footprints.
