NEW YORK—Designtex, a leading designer and manufacturer of applied materials for the built environment, introduces Plaster. The digitally printed, non-vinyl wallcovering is designed to capture the richness of dimensionally crafted surfaces alongside the organic essence of natural materials. Plaster strikes a harmonious balance between the look of hand-troweled plaster and the subtle textures of natural elements like bark and cork.

Plaster blends artistry with Designtex’s manufacturing, delivering a versatile and timeless wallcovering solution for contemporary interiors. Its depth and texture are achieved through high-fidelity digital printing at the brand’s factory in Portland, Maine. Using a DNA substrate, which contains bio-based material (50 percent cellulose), the surface remains smooth, cleanable, and easy to maintain, offering a practical, affordable alternative to traditional textured materials.

Rooted in biophilic design principles, Plaster evokes a sense of human presence by emulating the irregular beauty of hand-crafted materials to foster connection, calm, and comfort within the built environment. Available in a range of nine neutral and earthy colorways, the design brings warmth, depth, and tactile allure to hospitality, wellness, and ancillary spaces.

Plaster is made from 50 percent cellulose, 40 percent latex, and 10 percent polyester. Plaster is HPD, LEED, and SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certified.
