NEW YORK—Designtex, the leading designer and manufacturer of applied materials for the built environment, introduces Collage and Puffer, both examining the interplay between color, pattern, texture, and tactility in textile design. Their monochromatic colorways highlight the relationship between the surface and materiality of the fabric, featuring subtle designs that engage both pattern lovers and those who prefer a quieter approach. Puffer engages our sense of touch; despite its dimensional textile form, it delivers on high performance.

Collage is inspired by a hand-assembled study of shape and proportion translated into a dimensional woven textile. Layered geometry and a tone-on-tone pattern create depth through restraint, while softened edges preserve the human touch. Proving that a pattern can be both understated and impactful, Collage delivers performance-driven luxury with quiet confidence.

Texture takes shape with Puffer. Leading with touch, its velvet surface bursts with structural texture and playful dimension. The haptic pattern—evocative of moss—balances softness with depth, bringing bold energy and everyday performance to hospitality, workplace and other settings. Three distinctive colorways—Teal, Poodle, and Moss—bring a richness to the design, while a fourth, Cloud, brings a feeling of visual and tactile softness.

“Collage weaves layered geometry quietly into dimensional elegance, while Puffer sculpts velvet into touchable depth, proving that performance can be both boldly expressive and softly spoken,” shares Eve Singer, Principle Designer, Designtex.
