WASHINGTON, D.C.—Deborah Lloyd Forrest, FASID, and Stephen Perkins, AIA, ISHC, founders and for 14 years co-owners of ForrestPerkins, have completed a transaction that results in the transfer of Perkins’ shares to Forrest. Forrest is now president and sole owner of ForrestPerkins, the global interior architecture and design firm with offices in Dallas, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
“ForrestPerkins is poised to meet a promising future, building on its strong reputation for design excellence and creating successful projects that meet our clients’ financial goals,” Forrest said.
She attributes the firm’s national and international success to the partnership Perkins and she created through their shared vision, mutual professional and personal respect and friendship of more than 30 years as well as the contributions of the many talented professionals who have joined the firm over the years.
History of Honors for Both
Forrest and Perkins have accomplished much as partners and individuals. Forrest, a Fellow of the American Society of Interior Designers and its 2004 Designer of Distinction, is a member of the Hospitality Design Magazine Platinum Circle. Perkins is widely recognized for his significant contribution to the design profession and the hospitality industry as a member of the elite, invitation-only, International Society of Hospitality Consultants; he too, was inducted in Hospitality Design Magazine’s Platinum Circle in 2004.

Perkins will remain with the firm through January 2013 to focus on business development, early phase design development and client relations. After January, Perkins will divide time among family business, design management consulting and other enterprises as well as serving as a consultant to ForrestPerkins.
