KINGSEY FALLS, QUEBEC—Cascades, a leader in the manufacture of eco-responsible packaging and hygiene products, announced that it has made a $6.9 million investment in its Kingsey Falls recycled uncoated cardboard manufacturing plant (Kingsey Falls Paper) with the aim of increasing the production capacity of the equipment as well as the quality of the product.
Since last September, Cascades has installed several new pieces of equipment to improve film quality control. These investments will significantly enhance the film’s properties, better meeting the needs of the food packaging industry, particularly in terms of surface finish and printing. This project is a key driver for strengthening Cascades’ position in this market, supporting its growth, and ensuring its long-term competitiveness.
“This project will allow us to increase our capacity so that we can continue to be a partner of choice for our customers. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in our assets in Quebec to accelerate our growth. I would like to thank the employees who participated in the installation of this equipment. Their expertise and dedication made this project a real success,” said Hugues Simon, President and CEO of Cascades.
The Kingsey Falls plant, established in 1972, currently serves the industrial and food packaging markets. It employs 68 people and is considered one of the region’s top employers. A competitive salary and a benefits package tailored to employees’ lifestyles are offered.
A key player in the packaging sector, Cascades offers a wide range of high-performance products with a low environmental footprint. For the past seven years, the company has ranked among the top 100 most responsible companies in the world according to the prestigious Global 100 ranking produced by Corporate Knights.
