With summer nearly behind us—my son has already been in school a week—it’s time to preview the next few months of the busy trade show/conference season.

The season kicks off on August 23 with The Clean Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. (August 23 to 26). This event is a great opportunity to connect with companies ranging from laundry equipment suppliers to floor cleaning equipment suppliers. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how you can reduce energy and water consumption in your cleaning processes. Educational sessions will cover topics such as “Hygienically Clean, Clean Green and Health & Safety Certifications,” and “Cleaning for a Cause: Community Impact and Business Growth.”

The Independent Hotel Show will take place from September 17 to 18 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Among the educational sessions: “Human Trafficking Prevention for the Hospitality Industry,” and “How to Keep Hospitality Human in the Technology Evolution.” Suppliers exhibiting will include CMP Water, FreshAir Sensor, GFL Cosmetics, Gilchrist & Soames, Green Suites Hotel Solutions, Groupe GM Exclusive Amenities, Manchester Mills, Open Water, Pineapple Hospitality Inc., Priority Bicycles, ReadyCare Industries, Sustayne Products, and World Amenities, Inc.

The Lodging Conference is set for October 6 to 9 at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. In addition to many networking opportunities, there will be a session entitled, “Sustainable Initiatives in Operations and Development.” The panel will provide a framework for successfully building, renovating, maintaining and operating hotels to meet environmental goals, appeal to guests and grow your bottom line.

The Hospitality Show will be held October 26 to 28 at the Denver Convention Center. The conference will include these sessions: “The Future of Green Cities” and “Driving Sustainable Hospitality Forward Through Partnerships.” Among the exhibitors: ADA Cosmetics, Alliance Laundry Systems, Evolution Sustainability Group, Force of Nature Pro, Smarter Flush, Stay-N-Charge, and Your Green 2 Go.

The Greenbuild International Conference & Expo will take place November 4 to 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Billed as “the world’s largest event for green building professionals,” Greenbuild will offer the latest expert insight on LEEDv5, Passive House principles, resilience, health, wellness, and more. Greenbuild offers a long list of helpful educational sessions in addition to the expo which features hundreds of exhibitors focused on green building and operations.

Boutique Design New York, November 9 to 10 at the Javits Center in New York, “connects boutique hospitality brands and designers with exceptional vendors, insider experiences, and hospitality products not found anywhere else.” The BDNY website allows one to search the exhibitor list by “Sustainable Product Offerings.” There are currently more than 40 exhibitors in that category. Among them: Valley Forge Fabrics, Minibar Systems, Pacific Green, and J+J Flooring.

The fall schedule will wrap up with the Global Wellness Summit in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. It will take place from November 18 to 21 at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown. This is no error: registration is $5,150 early rate until September 30 and then $5,790. For spouses or significant other: $2,685.
