VIKEN, SWEDEN—Bjelin’s innovative Woodura Herringbone has been awarded a 2024 FCNnovation Award by Floor Covering News, a prestigious honor recognizing groundbreaking ideas and game-changing concepts in the flooring industry.

The newly launched Woodura Herringbone 2.0 range reimagines a classic design with larger, more durable panels enhanced by patented technologies. Floor Covering News praised this innovation, stating, “Bjelin continues its innovative, award-winning ways this year with the unveiling of a popular herringbone design featuring some of the same underlying performance attributes of Woodura Planks.”

“We’re honored that this collection, which demonstrates our commitment to innovation and creativity, has won this esteemed award,” says Fredrik Alfredsson, Bjelin’s Global Head of Sales. “It stems directly from our team’s close engagement with the industry and is driven by the valuable feedback we’ve received on the most impactful innovations introduced.”

Designed in Scandinavia, Woodura Herringbone 2.0 is powered by Woodura surface technology developed by sister company Välinge Innovation. This results in wood flooring that’s three times the strength of traditional wood options and the maximization of raw materials. Robust 5G lock technology also ensures an easy installation without nails or glue.

Versatile and creative, Woodura Herringbone 2.0 can be installed in multiple patterns, from traditional herringbone, double, triple, ladder and blocks. Made with responsibly sourced Croatian oak, the range is offered in three shades, a clean Select grading and a tough pro matt lacquer for easy maintenance and enduring beauty.

Bjelin provides a range of flooring products focused on innovation and sustainability.
