OAKTON, VA.—Bed and Wood announces the availability of mattresses made from cotton and latex. Based in Oakton, Va., the founders grew up sleeping on surfaces from natural fibers and now share the passion of bringing eco-friendly yet affordable mattresses to hotels.
Simaya, their dunlop latex mattress is made in 9” and 4” profiles with two sides of extra firm and softer latex on the other side. Depending on firmness preference, it can be flipped over to get a plusher sleep surface or a harder mattress. Its 4” low profile mattress can be used as a topper replacement.
Urnamaya, their organic futon or cotton mattress, is one of the few mattresses made in a 100 percent GOTS certified facility in the United States. Featuring organic cotton from Texas and organic wool from the northwest United States, the organic cotton ticking from India is enveloped in a sturdy zipper cover and hand tufted. The result is a luxurious yet firm organic mattress that cannot be matched by foam or coil-based mattresses.
Besides these signature mattresses, Bed and Wood also offers an organic latex and cotton futon hybrid mattress, pillows, latex toppers and mattress protectors. Bed and Wood offers a 90 day comfort exchange which can be initiated 15 days following the original delivery date of the mattress.
