MONTEBELLO, CALIF.—Due to exponential growth in both sales and products manufactured and distributed from its East Coast Bedding factory in Summerville, S.C., Allied Home, manufacturer of quality crafted bedding products designed to deliver a better sleep experience, is relocating the plant to a larger facility located in Hildebran, N.C., known for its long-standing history of home products manufacturing.

According to Allied, the company is infusing new-age technology into an old-school furniture factory with historic roots. Allied is outfitting the 100,000 square foot factory with the most advanced equipment to manufacture luxury down and synthetic bedding products its retail and hospitality distribution channels rely on. With its larger size, the new East Coast Bedding location will allow Allied to expand and operate more efficiently to better service its current customers and scale for growth.

“Hildebran is a community with a legacy in manufacturing that will give us access to skilled service providers and a larger workforce of experienced craftsman,” said Allied’s CEO Steve Uretsky. “We are thrilled to be continuing traditions that were in place long before our company existed.”

Building Reuse Grant Program

Allied has been working closely with local officials to acquire and renovate the vacant building under the state’s Building Reuse Grant program.

“The Town of Hildebran is excited to welcome Allied Home to the Hildebran community,” said Mayor Wendell. “Partnering with companies like Allied Home allows both the Town of Hildebran and Allied Home to continue to grow and improve.”

Jeff Brittain, Chairman of the Burke County Commissioners said, “We are delighted to welcome Allied to Burke County. Our workforce continues to transition to meet the needs of today’s manufacturing processes and we look forward to helping Allied meet their objectives from this new location.”

Production at Allied’s new East Coast Bedding facility is slated for mid- January 2021. The company anticipates bringing 40 new jobs to the community in 2021 and an additional 40 in the following year.

“The people in North Carolina have been incredibly supportive of our growth and we are excited to become a part of the community,” said Uretsky.
